Parent’s cases should contain the essentials; make sure there’s nothing missing for the journey, and leave a space for anything you might buy when you get there.

Even though not flying, it’s really important to make sure that the suitcases are properly labelled so that they can be easily identified if left at the hotel reception.

Luggage should be sturdy; it’s better to have suitcases made with strong material or a hard case.

If staying at a hotel, it’s best to make sure that the establishment provides hand and bath-towels, hairdryer and general hygiene products, so as not to fill our case with things we don’t need.

Remember that it’ s not a good idea to overload the car if we’re taking our own. Try not to impair the driver’s line of vision; a loaded car doesn’t respond in the same way and if there’s a great deal of difference in weight between the occupants of the car, we should compensate this with the contents of the boot.
